RACE WEEEKKK!!!!

My favorite place to be this time of year!

So it's finally here! My FAVORITE weekend of the year!!!! Race weekend! I don't know what it is about this weekend but it's like I get a high off NASCAR. haha The tires, the grills from the campers, and the exhaust fumes just gets me excited! Several drivers are making appearances this weekend except Dale Jr. of course. I think I've just given up on the fact that I'm ever going to meet him. It's not gonna happen. He's the most exclusive driver to get an autograph from and it's just impossible to see him. He never makes autograph appearances cause the wait would be 10 hours long or longer! I've gotten several A game drivers autographs before and it's just not gonna happen with Jr. Unless I meet him somewhere random where he's around town somewhere then probably never.

It's just the beginning of the weekend (Friday) and today I'm going to meet Brad Keselowski! He is the hottest driver on the circuit right now. Brad has four top-5 finishes the past four races with two of those being wins. Brad won at Pocono after he suffered a broken-ankle during a test crash at Road Atlanta. I'm going to Discount Tire in Lovejoy today to meet him! For all I know, he could be my future husband. He's really the only one I want to go meet out of all the drivers making appearances this weekend. I've been a fan of Brad's since he started driving in the Nationwide Series for JR Motorsports in the 88 car for Dale Jr. He's got an awesome attitude towards racing and he's just a great racer. He also has an awesome feud with Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards so that gives him bonus points for me. :) I picked him as one of my drivers for my fantasy team this weekend so let's see if he can catch me up to my competitors.

After I go meet Brad I'm going to the ticket office to the track and get me a ticket to truck race tonight. They better not all be sold out for tonight or I'm gonna be pissed! I don't think they will be but we'll see. I don't have anyone to go with me that wants to pay $25 for a ticket so I'm just gonna go by myself and enjoy some truck racing. Tomorrow, my sister Megan is coming with me after she gets off work. It's gonna be a blast! I don't think she's been before so it should be super exciting. I know Martin Truex Jr. is making an appearance tomorrow so I might go and meet him. I met him last year and was so excited! He's been one of my favorite drivers since he raced in the Nationwide Series back for Dale Jr. and Chance 2 Motorsports. Meeting him last year was just really awesome. And yes he is as hot in person as he is on tv.

Sunday, I'm taking my aunt with me to the Cup race because I won free tickets. Apparently I entered this contest online. I think the grand prize was to win a Camaro but I was runner up and got two tickets instead. I honestly don't even remember entering the contest, but hey whatever! I looked up how much the tickets were where we're sitting and they're worth $108 a piece so I won big! Our seats are on the front stretch right near the entrance of pit road at the end of turn 4 so it should be great! We can see the start finish line from our seats too. I just turned 21 this past month and just realized that I'll finally be able to go into the Crown Royal, Jack Daniel's, and Skoal tents at the track!!! They always have track displays and covered tents that they won't allow people under 21 to go in and since I'm FINALLY 21 I can go and get me some free booze and tobacco!!! I definitely wont be using the tobacco but just for the fact that I can finally get it for free, I'm going to get some.

One of my favorite things to do at the track is just walk around and get all the free stuff! I can not tell you how many vendors and sponsors have things set up at the track and just give away free crap! I've gotten free hats, koozies, t-shirts, hot sauce, whole bottles of Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce, lanyards, food, and anything else you could think of. Not only am I cheap, but I am a free-loader! So when they have all these free things they give away I'm all there! It's such a great part of the weekend I can't even tell you. haha If anyone wants to experience a good time and huge party/carnival/circus that comes to town once a year, go to the race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. I know that place like the back of my hand, so I'm up for taking anybody who wants to know what I enjoy every year. Can't wait!!!
